About Dr. Cynthia Reynolds-Temple -
I attended Iowa State University before the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO)
in Chicago, Illinois - where I earned my Bachelor of Visual Science and Doctor of
Optometry degrees. After an externship at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital, I graduated
from ICO and began working with local optometrists and ophthalmologists in Illinois
and Northwest Indiana.
In 1996, my Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents certification (one of the highlest levels for clinical optometry practice in the U.S.) was completed. This allows me to diagnose and treat a variety of eye diseases - including Glaucoma. I co-manage pre & post-operative patients with several ophthalmologists in Il. and am on the staff of Advocate Trinity and Mt. Sinai Hospitals in Chicago.
My family and I are proud to live and participate in the Hyde Park community, and I’ve enjoyed my involvement in the Hyde Park Lions Club & LINKS, Inc. Professionally, I am affiliated with the Illinois, American and National Optometric Associations, participate in the Chicago Central City Optometric Society and hold Optometry licenses in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Minnesota.
